Rajaji National park

Himalayas largest park the Rajaji National park ,consolidated the wild –life
sanctuaries at Chilla ,Motichur and Rajaji ,named after the nationalist
leader C.rajagpalachari ,the only India to hold the post of governor
General.The Park covers 820 sq km in the lesser Himalayan foothills ,where
they meet the Indo-Ganetic plains .The park is well known for the large
number of Elephants ,with the rarely seen Tigers. The park is open on 15 Nov
and close on 15 June ,the park is daily open between the sunrise and close
at sunset.
Animals and wild birds seen inside park and also migratory Birds ::
Inhabiting the dense green forest that form the park are an impressive ,
creatures - 23 species of mammals - includings tigers, cheetal, sambar,
cheetal, barking deer, leopards, elephants, deer, jungle cat, wild boar and
sloth bear - and 180 species of birds are found in Rajaji. The most species
include water birds (attracted by the Ganga and the song rivers included
many kinds of geese,ducks ,Cormorant,real and spoon bill among others) pea
fowl, woodpeckers, pheasants, kingfishers and barbets, supplemented by a
number of migratory species during the winter months. Besides that, the
rivers which flow through the park harbour fish such as trout and mahseer.

Morning drive to Chilla by via Rishikesh .Upon arrival in Chilla ,meet and
assist and check in Gujjar huts or Tourist Guest house.After Lunch Explore
the National parks wonders.
Late afternoon have a elephant ride to catch the wild life. Dinner and
overnight at Chilla.
Day 02 ::Chilla ::
Morning after tea and breakfast ,drive to national park to catch wild life
inside the park.Elephant ride to park is optional in morning or Ride a jeep
to explore the park.
After Lunch,drive back to Rishikesh.
